Shadow work was the underbelly of the intention behind these beaded earrings. The transparent smoky grey beads reveal the nylon thread via "x's" which show a bit of the behind the scenes work of the stitching process in the creation of these earrings. The 70's green and yellow depict the bile of releasing and the patterns of grey and white show the patterns in our ability to jump from dark to light.

It's not often I plan out the style of my earrings as I just begin with an arrangement of colors that feel cohesive and earthy. I also tend to be processing majority of the time I create and during this process was I undergoing grief. While these earrings are light and easy to wear, they reveal the intricacies of deep healing and for me, these look how I felt--flawed, exposing and also intricate. The loops signify the cycles of the underworlds, within ourselves and how that manifests. Understanding that life is a spiral and time is non-linear, I like to believe shadow work is simultaneously integrated with whom we choose to be in the face of the world, and ourselves.
